Very interesting research out of Black Hat '23! Actually observing 100 honeypots. If you build software there is no substitute for real Live Tests ;)

GPU Virtualization: life's toughest challenge ;)

GVT-g high-level design

GVT-g was intel's first crack at virtualization and is now abandoned. It was supplanted by Intel supporting SR-IOV which itself was succeeded by intel's SIOV.

Starlink & a tri-masted schooner is all one needs ;)

If I could, I would go for a two masted schooner sans the starlink.

I did it once and I occasionally wonder if it is possible to unwind my life back to that.

Phenomenal explainer, bravo!

Simply put, it also makes a terrific benchmark for supercomputers.

Biodiversity. Nature loathes monocultures. I noticed it first hand this summer. Plots with varietals produce much richer compost. With much bigger blooms. NYC is essentially a tropic zone now. Things I couldn't imagine a generation ago, are now within cultivation: ghost peppers, white peaches, kiwi fruit, haas avacados, meyer lemons!

Day-Z with F-14 tomcats ;)

Do you recall "Onslaught Mode" in Unreal?

I wonder why you reference Onslaught Mode in Unreal. Does this game offer similar gameplay? To those who don't play UT: it is a game mode where teams compete to connect a network of nodes from their base to the other team's base.

Sole criticism is that it's perspective is too "western-centered"? Though I agree it's eastern resources are sine qua non. One could conceive an entire Digital Library devoted exclusively to Ancient Indian Philosophy & Music and it would encompass 10x the scale ;)
