In my experience, web push notifications on Android do not show immediately (i.e. with high priority). They only show when your phone wakes. Does anyone know of a workaround for this?
I've had no issue with Firebase on a personal project just pushing to my android. The big caveat is that the push doesn't wake the phone. So all notifications drop in when I click the screen on.
As I understand, the "work" was already done, the only thing missing was sending a heads-up email with "hey, this seems iffy, maybe you ought to look into it".
I dunno, I generally report issues I find in software, paid or not, as I've always done. Takes usually ~10 minutes and 1% of the time, they ask for more details and I spend maybe 20 minutes more to fill out some more details.
Never been paid for it ever, most I gotten was a free yearly subscription. But in general I do it because I want what I use to be less buggy.
You don't need a Shields Up button to have a little self control on the internet. Seth is energized after a day on the internet. This blog post is about "we" being exhausted aka "you". Not Seth. If you are reading this, you can do it.
My thoughts and experience as well. Seth does not suffer or get exhausted online. He's had his list of what to avoid internalized for a long time. As do I. Believe it or not, you have some agency when using the internet. Even in the face of "the algorithm" (what that has come to mean).
