I don't disagree with you on BMW's data collection capabilities. However, I've read about 2023s being tuned. It's also widely reported that BMW encrypted many of the computers starting in 2024.

This past September, BMW disabled 3rd party access (think Home Assistant) to vehicle data. There are only 2 paid 3rd party companies allowed. 2+ years of me using HA (with some awesome automations) was terminated. I was willing to let them use my data as long as I could too, but now I don't even have access to my own data!

Apple Pay doesn't matter if they're scanning your face. https://epic.org/krogers-surveillance-pricing-harms-consumer...

I cut out caffeine & my chest pain completely went away & never came back.

You might want to add contact info to your website.

Agreed.

I originally did not do so since it was incomplete and I was a bit worried about the association.

It's all in a public git repo so my name was never truly hidden. But now that I'm using it more, it does make sense to be more explicit about who runs the site and what "qualifications" I have.

It may not happed immediately but added to my TODO list.

Oh wow! Thanks for that. I use flight aware and twas not award of that particular page.

Oh, the foresight of the 1st episode of Connections. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XetplHcM7aQ

I had 3 in my yard. I never thought twice about them until one split down the middle & destroyed my carport 3 years ago. I cut the rest of that one down & the one next to it that could fall on my house. A neighbor had one split last summer & blocked the road. The wood from these trees are dense and heavy. I never walk under them anymore due to how quickly they just fall down.

You just reminded me of a girlfriend I had in NYC when I lived in NJ. I remember the first time she came to see me. She had never left the city by ground transportation & didn't know how to use NJ Transit lines.

This isn't unusual and is part of the appeal of living in a big, self-contained city. When I've lived in NYC I rarely had much need or desire to go anywhere else and if I did it was something vastly different and via plane.

I'm surprised that this aspect isn't discussed more. Alaska Airlines knew this plane had a problem, but chose to fly it anyway. Ughhh!
