Doesn't Dune take place in ~22k AD? Wiki says "the Butlerian Jihad is a conflict taking place over 11,000 years in the future (and over 10,000 years before the events of Dune)." [0]
The problem is that fraudsters won't be "producing", but instead will be stealing from others. They need to be in prison not because it's a punishment but because they cannot be trusted to participate in society honestly.
However, I don't think it's practical to get fraudsters to pay back all the money in most cases as they won't be able to. What we need is a faster way to detect and imprison fraudsters to limit the damage they do. Also, most people don't respond to the "size" of punishments, but more to the likelihood that they will be caught.
The number of horses in London was causing problems at the end of the 19th century - they don't scale well when you need to provide stables, food and of course leave piles of dung everywhere.
It was likely about control. Valve saw that Microsoft was becoming more controlling about the Windows platform and that's what pushed them towards developing SteamOS on Linux as that means that Valve can put resources into fixing anything that they want to. The Apple platform is also under control of a single entity, so it doesn't make too much sense for Valve to care about that (as well as Apple not being known as a gaming platform).
What you should do is just buy a SteamDeck for gaming.
I don't understand how Trump was ever allowed back into the UK on the basis of his criminality (e.g. a persistent offender who shows particular disregard for the law).
Having lots of people involved means that it's more likely to be malicious compliance or deniable sabotage. It only needs one person who disagrees with the redactions to start doing things that they know will allow info to leak.
However, I don't think we're going to have to wait 11,000 years for it
