X used yew and rust to rebuild their client and had success in that they are dealing with lots of heavy lifting where these tools start to show their value for large scale products.

For most products its immense overkill, for a lot of stuff even react is total overkill where htmx is a better choice.

I have had things melt down before where Gemini got stuck and then would say it did something and didnt, etc...

Howver asking the same question on a new fresh context fixed it, kind of context pollution can happen.

I agree, I was always annoyed in projects where these kids thought they were still in school and spinning up incredible levels of over abstraction that led to some really horrible security problems.

I've been unemployed for 3 years now have been continuously applying for 3 years and being 53, being non-stop rejected despite all my skills and 25+ years of experience. Its utterly gruesome and the government put me onto welfare to work which basically gives me 9 months to find work or have my access to food and healthcare taken away which they don't even do to people on death row in prison. The way we are treating non-billionaires right now is breath taking.

An even bigger problem is that Trump is developing a system of brutal punishment for the poor while AI is taking away a huge chunk of work out there while the rich people who own Ai pay no taxes, so if nothing changes we will see a total collapse of local government and state government as their tax income goes to less than 0.

How smooth an experience you have with react really depends upon which framework you use, how old the code is. I have seen many react apps using outdated versions of react that break in interesting ways.

Yeah this is what we are seeing today, also its not just junior jobs going, according to Amazon they are using it to get rid of expensive senior employees while they are actually holding onto juniors using ai tools.

We have seen a lot of use of h1b and outsourcing despite the massive job shortage. Seeing lots of fake job sites filled with ai generated fake openings and paid membership for access to "premium jobs."

They're using ICE to effectively pay half the country to murder the other half, but the ICE budget is limited so that automated systems can then gun down the ICE community to replace 99.9% of humans with machines.

Ultimately this is great for Russia because they'll still be able to invade even if they have only 300 soldiers left in their military, after they hit a low orbit nuke blast to shutdown the Ai US, basically only Melania swinging her purse at the troops will be one of the few left alive to resist.

> Ultimately this is great for Russia

Wat

There is also the damage done by the Supreme Court ending the Voting Rights Act, had the act been in place in 2024, Kamalah would have won by a landslide. Millions of minority voters were targeted for disenfranchisement in 2024.

  > There is also the damage done by the Supreme Court ending the Voting Rights Act
that is true, but

  > Kamalah would have won by a landslide
im not so sure. after a great start she sudenly veered off and campaigned by appealing to disaffected republicans (eg. touring with liz cheney, militaristic posturing (in her words 'the most leathal') military etc) and ignoring/downplaying the gaza issue which affected voting trends [0] in the battleground states just enough to loose there... also the prolonged conflict in ukraine didn't help things with many voters either (eg. lie or not he said he'd end the wars immediately)

and aside from some bread-crumbs like paid leave, she was very silent in economic issues that affected many minorities...

her campaign was in la-la land [1]

between that one and citizen's united the GOP takeover was assured.

Not until the one-two punch of Obama not insisting on his SCOTUS nominee being pushed through, and RBG not retiring in time for him to have a second. You could put it as late as the DNC pushing Clinton as the 2016 presidential nominee and/or pushing for Trump to be the GOP nominee (with the rationale that he'd be easy to defeat).

Huh? Kamala lost because Trump made in-roads in Latino and Arab voting population in Michigan and Wisconsin. Almost half of Latinos voted for Trump [0] and more Arabs voted for Trump than Kamala [1] and [2] and [3]. Quite the opposite of minority voters were disenfranchised - minorities exercised their right to vote the way they wanted.

There's no point because there's few things as human as writing a novel. Also I think these models work great for technical generation of things like code, but it doesn't take imagination to do engineering work. Also look at the way these data centers compete with humans for resources like power and clean water, and the surveillance nightmare we're looking at with the dovetailing of authoritarian rule and total information awareness.

With Ai killing so much employment I could see them weaponizing famine to try to unalive roughly 70-80% of the entire us population.

They don't care who dies in pursuit of profit and whiteness, but I really don't think they're actively trying to Bond villain.

bro you do realize saying 'whiteness' is actually racist and drives an entire race of people away from wanting to help

Don't give them any ideas, starving a captive population is intellectual property they could import from Israel.

That’s not feasible. Starving takes a long time and starving people do some crazy things.
