Here’s something else that just started to rally work this year with Opus 4.5: interacting with Ghidra. Nearly every binary is now suddenly transparent, in many cases it can navigate binaries better than source code itself.
There’s even a research team that has bee using this approach to generate compilable C++ from binaries and run static analysis on it, to find more vulnerabilities than source analysis without involving dynamic tracing.
TRELLIS 1 had a massive impact on the research in this area, not least because it’s actually open (full dataset, training and inference). Research like SynCity or PhysX-3D (not the NVIDIA one) wouldn’t have been possible.
Excites for the follow ups for this new generation.
Over HDMI I’ve got a no-signal error. I think I’ve tried display port or something else and got very bad ghosting and a kind of very bad contrast issue. You couldn’t really read text(unlike what I’ve seen on YouTube videos). Tried different kinds of settings still couldn’t get it into a working state. Like it needs a special driver or something like that.
> 80% of new developers on GitHub use Copilot in their first week
I am not sure how honest this statement is. I remember typing something in an input which I thought was search, but no, it was AI search or something like that. Free copilot got activated on my account simply by submitting a search query. Statement may be technically true but it's target audience are investors and maybe higher management (someone is getting a raise or a bonus), not actual developers.
