This is going to the store, buying the product, and then having the product just magically evaporate once you get half way home. Then you go back to the store, ask for help with your disappearing product, and be told they can't help you. Your analogy is terrible.

And then rather than deal with the store again, you go borrow the copy your friend has that never spontaneously evaporated.
