This is the first time I supported anyone on Patreon or pledged to any crowdfunded effort for that matter. I have been using a 2014 rMBP with Linux for the past six years, and while things haven't been perfect it was still the best combination of hardware and software for me.

With the M1 MacBooks the competition with other laptop brands isn't even close, so much so that I couldn't justify buying another machine, just based on the battery life alone.
