What Are Weird Machines? (dartmouth.edu)

Before today, I had never heard the term "Weird Machine" -- this term is going into my 2020/2021 lexicon.

Now, "Weird Machine" might have some relationship with the exploit writing / exploit defending community -- but I vote that the phenomena of a "Weird Machine" -- might be looked at in a purely neutral, purely academic, purely intellectual way...

You see, I'll bet that "Weird Machines" exist not only in the world of computers -- but also in Nature -- and in many human systems as well!

This would include (but is not limited to!) Sociological Systems, Corporations, Organizations, anywhere there's a fusion between machines and people -- there's the possibility for "Weird Machines" and "Wierd Machine" phenomena to occur...

We just haven't looked for it yet...

But I'll bet it's there!

This idea, and its study -- might add an interesting additional dimension to the study of Systems Theory -- in the future...
