All this would be moot if the issues, PRs, discussion and everything were also in the (or a) git repository, so pulling would get everything, just as a matter of course.
I admit I was shocked, in the day, and appalled to discover that was not the way the site worked already.
Fossil is supposedly an alternative to Git that keeps the PRs, wikis, etc in the repo. The big problem is everyone knows GitHub, but if there were a “FossilHub”, who would know? Not to mention that hiring managers and clueless recruiters only care about GitHub and nothing else.
What GitHub needs is a way to not just pull the repository’s code, but the entire repository (code, wiki, etc.)
