Anyone can look at data and present an argument, to look at credentials and outright dismiss discussion is about as bigoted as you can get.
Anyway, I minored in BioE and have sat in on or taken many graduate level genetics, immunology and neuroscience courses. Further, I read papers relentlessly from all fields and my day job is reading research and debunking or implementing it (in CS, but also other fields).
I think a better use of time would have been commenting on the content — which was US CDC and UK NHS data, as well as good old news stories.
Ah, I see that you are the author of the blog post.
> Credentialism is such BS.
I simply presented your credentials.
> Anyone can look at data and present an argument
(Emphasis mine.)
Exactly. You need to know who's presenting arguments.
> to look at credentials and outright dismiss discussion is about as bigoted as you can get.
I listed your credentials. Your assumption of dismissal and prejudice suggest that you are at least self-conscious about your credentials in re. this topic.
