You're right and we stress it in every disclaimer, website, blog post etc: Shuflecake is NOT production ready, do not use it for sensitive operations" etc. That said, we believe that Truecrypt and Veracrypt suffer from technical limitations that make them not only unpractical, but not deniable under many scenarios.
