They are lifesavers sometimes. Knowing what expects what and what you should expect in return. It helps you catch those minor bugs.

Well, sometimes you happen to be apart of ≈10 year old codebases with lots of people who've been working on it and is no longer there.

At that scale, TS is a godsend!
