If you haven't played Doom RPG it's a surprisingly compelling turned based spin on the Doom/Wolfenstein 3D formula, quite easily one of the best pre-smartphone mobile games.

Oh I was confused for a second. So there is a Doom RPG (official one), and also a fan made "DRL" (totally not meaning DoomRL in the early days), which was eventually remade as Jupiter Hell due to trademark issues.
