I think rules is more accurate. Censorship makes me think that you can post something that is within the rules, but if it doesn't fit the agenda it's removed. To me they are different.
I run communities and we have rules. We don't do censorship though.
4chan is more general instead of being focused on a domain as HN is. However, I do prefer a fully uncensored platform as I don't trust anyone's judgement but my own regarding content.
Part of the reason censorship is bad policy is that if the government had that authority it would've been wielded by Trump. With more government censorship your parents would've gotten less good and more bad information, not the other way around
Doctors do recommendations based on your medical record and individual check. Anyone, who follow universal advices by random persons in media was too scare to think rationally or simply enjoy tribalism, mostly driven by politicians and sensation.

This is what I am talking about. If censorship was legal it wouldn't be medical doctors doing the censoring it would be the executive branch, ie Trump during 2020.
Much of it was also made up. Much of it was just for show. Not to mention many things were censored that we now know were true. Is this acceptable to you? It certainly isn't to me.
