Nuclear energy is the obvious solution to climate change. We have enough fuel to power all of humanity for thousands of years. The waste is not a problem due to recycling and new reactor designs. It was never really a problem in the first place anyway, since it’s very compact and easily stored underground.
However, the left has had complete control of much of US politics for a long time, yet there was never a real effort or even realistic conversation from that side about actually solving the problem of climate change with the obvious solution.
The left has lost all credibility on the topic honestly and this is the result. It was easier to use the end-of-the-world doom narrative as a political tool instead of actually solving the problem.
We were reliably told by all these experts that Los Angeles would be underwater by now. I think a lot of normal people have started to tune out this conversation for the most part.
